It is no news that LacusCurtius‘ Bill Thayer was working to put online a full translation of the works by Dio of Prusa (also known as Dio Chrysostom, “Goldvoice”). The project is now finished, and the great sophist can now also be read by people who have no access to a well-equipped academic library. Dio really has a lot to say, and tells much about daily life, as C.P. Jones has shown in his book The Roman World of Dio Chrysostom (1978).
